House in Hornsby

Tranquil Treehouse Retreat

Entire home • 7 guests • 3 bedrooms • 4 beds • 2 bathrooms

Nestled on the edge of the national park, our architecturally designed, Scandi style home allows you to enjoy waking up in the forest treetops, discovering the surrounding bushland, de-stressing with a bath before relaxing by the open fire with a glass of wine and a good book. The house looks out over Old Man's Valley and is totally secluded, with various entertaining spaces. You'll likely see our little native animal friends, including a resident echidna, lyrebirds and many beautiful parrots. Our home's architectural design makes it feel modern, light and open, with natural, bright Japandi styling throughout. It is a split level house with high ceilings, picture windows and beautiful views of the National Park. The house has four separate decks and a BBQ for entertaining. The bathrooms and kitchens are original but still in good working order. Please note, the house does have a lot of stairs to the front door but once you are there it is worth it! This is our family home, so there are also many toys and facilities for little children. Guest will have the use of the whole house. The house is located in a quiet, peaceful, family neighbourhood. We are basically in the National Park and there are ovals, playground and picnic tables close by. Hornsby Westfield is less than 5 minute drive away and has a MYER, David Jones, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and specially stores. Our house is 1.6km from Hornsby Train Station. Hornsby is a major station and has express trains to the city. If you are travelling by public transport we recommend catching a taxi from the station to our house. It is quite a steep walk down some big hills. The taxi fare is about $5-10. There are a lot of stairs to the front door. One hundred to be exact. We think of it as our daily workout and a bit of an adventure! Once you get to the house it is all worth it.
